A Japanese translation of a text, possibly by Richard William Church, on the history of Christianity in Greece, Italy, and Germany. Miyagawa Tsuneteru (1857-1936), one of the translators, was a Christian minister and fervent supporter of Japanese women's education. This book is thought to have been published for Japanese Christians by the Yokohama chapter of the American Tract Society.

Original boards, worn, lightly stained. Loss to lower right of upper board and spine. Gutters reinforced with washi. Occasional discolouration to text. 1 v., complete. 8, 152 p. 19.3 x 13 cm.
