A cutting of fabric embroidered with clouds, pine trees, waves, and foreign ships. The fragment, which uses an eye-catching metallic thread, was probably cut from a Nishiijn-ori textile produced in Kyoto.

 

One cutting. Extremities frayed. 22.5 x 16.2 cm.
