A complete set of souvenir photographs of Japan. The set is more adventurous than typical landscape-centric sets, focusing on the occupations and amusements of the common people. Highlights include photographs of girls playing cards, a boy making a snowman, a printer's shop, a girl smiling widely, boys playing with kites, and so on. A complete set of photographic illustrations produced by an unidentified studio, featuring several unusual scenes.

One set of 72 cards of photographic illustrations and two index cards, complete. Occasional small marks and bumps to illustrations. Housed in original card cases, one with a photographic illustration tipped-in to the upper panel. Both boxes with small holes to bases for easy removal of the photo-cards Case hinges cut. Cases each approx. 17 x 12.3 cm; photo-cards each approx. 15.6 x 10.9 cm. Text in English.
