The rightmost print only of a triptych depicting a busy night scene at Ryōgoku Bridge in Tokyo. Eizan (1787-1867) studied both Kanō school and Shijō school painting styles and designed many bijinga ('beautiful woman') prints in the early 19th century. The deep purple hues of the figures' kimono and the black night sky are highlights of this eye-catching print.
One loose ōban nishiki-e; rightmost print only of a triptych. Minor creases and soiling to paper. Slight wear to extremities and lower right corner. Two washi paper repairs to verso. 38.7 x 26.5 cm.
