[Three illustrated envelopes]
[Ogawa, Usen (original designs by)].
[Kyōto]: Kineya: Kyō-tsukushiya, [ca. early to mid-Shōwa period (1930-40s)?].
Three woodblock-printed envelopes based on designs by Ogawa Usen (1868-1938). The leftmost illustration seems to depict a person dancing with a fan at night in front of a large statue of a religious or historical figure. The middle print illustrates an old woman showing a chicken to a child. The rightmost print depicts Shōki the demon-queller with his sword. The subtle bokashi gradation in the central print adds to the beauty of the simple image.
Three envelopes (two woodblock-printed on one side, one woodblock-printed on both sides). Waves, light creases, minor foxing. From left to right: 21.2 x 8.5 cm; 21.2 x 8.5 cm; 20 x 8 cm.
