Tōkyō: Daichisha, Shōwa 17 [1942]. First trade edition.

A single-page photographic illustration of Shirase and his wife is included in the text.

Browning, light stains, and occasional foxing internally. Ex-ownership name crossed out with marker on last text page. 13, [4 p. of photographic illustrations, 2 p. of maps], 414 p. 18.3 x 13 cm.
