A curious photograph of the owner, cigarette in hand, and premises at 220 Main Street, Vancouver, of the Japanese watchmaker and jeweler T.I. Yonemitsu. An advertisement for "Big Ben: rings on time, runs on time, stays on time" is displayed in the window. An interesting record of early Japanese entrepreneurship in Canada.
One photograph, lightly marked and scratched, tipped-in to card mount. Browning, occasional stains, and scrape to mounting. Light bumps and chips to extremities. Ink inscription and light water stain to lower margin of mounting. Photograph measures 20.5 x 15.7 cm; mounting measures 30.5 x 25.2 cm.
